My Favourite Singers series - Part 1
Lauryn Hill - she's streaming now (His Eye is on the Sparrow - a duet with Tanya Blout)

She's one of my favourite singers of all time.... Some of you may remember her from Sister Act 2. That was a long time ago...

She is a 7-time Grammy award winning musician, and record producer, initially establishing her reputation as the most visible and vocal member of The Fugees, then continuing on to a solo career, releasing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and the controversial MTV Unplugged No. 2.0. At age 24, her accomplishments rack up among legendary artists. Maybe that's why Chuck D compares her to a "21st century Bob Marley."

Her solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, was the fastest selling debut ever for a female artist.
The first single off the album was "Lost Ones" followed by "Doo Wop (That Thing)," which debuted at number one in the United States in the summer of 1998, along with singles "Ex-factor" and "Everything Is Everything." In 1999's Grammy Awards, Hill was nominated ten times and won Album of the Year (beating Madonna's critically acclaimed album Ray of Light), Best New Artist, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album, setting a new record for women in the industry.

wow... lately i've been spending lotsa time in front of the tv (and comp monitor) watching the mentioned shows.... once school stars in a few weeks time..... this luxury would be confiscated.... so waste no more time... off to the tv after this post.....

Yeah~! I finally got it!

I'm absolutely loving this CD.... Grammy nominations? *winks*?
the best tracks are "I feel beautiful", "Two Weeks Notice", "Not the way I do", "Bump what ya friends say" and "Baby makin' hips"

and apparently, the results for sem1 leaked out yesterday..... of course I checked mine... I'm quite pleased with results... hope that it is true... will have to double check on 27Dec

it just seemed so fast... before i knew it, 1 semester just flew past me..... then i started asking myself.... did i put in my best this sem? Ans: Regretfully no =(
though I've only 3 examinable modules this sem.... the workload is definitely lighter than everone else..... but I felt that i slacked quite a fair bit.... well...
Calculus was quite manageable ..... Singapore society was do-able.... and Basics of Maths was a nightmare! I could only do like 30-40% of the paper and out of this 30-40% i've already made quite a few mistakes.... hope that can get at least a C+

Now it's time indulge in animes and year-end stock up of my wardrobe!
